여름 메아리 - Summer Echo

만발했던 목련이 모두 떨어지고

덜 푸른 잎들이 자라

초여름 재촉하며 자라나는 그때에

초여름을 알려주는 배달부처럼

찾아와 우는 뻐꾸기

그대 모습 보이지 않으나

멀리에서 가까이서

들리는 소리 노래인 양

푸르름 예견하여 알리는 듯하구나.

The full blooms of the magnolias are fallen now.

And pale green leaves beginning to flourish.

At this time of growth, as early summer rushes in,

The cuckoo arrives like a postman

To herald the coming season.

We cannot see you,

But your call from far and near

Re-echoes like a song,

Telling of coming verdure.
